Dennis Jilka, MD was born and raised in Kansas avid athlete where he wrestled and played football and rugby. Then after high school played college football for Fort Scott Community College before transferring to Kansas State University. There, he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Physiology and his Master’s degree, where his research centered on congestive heart failure (CHF) and the kinetics of oxygen transfer.
He went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and trained in internal medicine in Internal Medicine right here in Indiana.
As a general practice physician, Dr. Jilka provides comprehensive care for a wide range of adult medical conditions. His clinical interests include chronic disease management, weight loss, chronic pain, and psychiatric conditions, where he takes an integrative and evidence-based approach to care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jilka enjoys reading science fiction and is watching the Kansas City Chiefs on Sundays.
